Notes for GEORGE HALE:
From the port of Bristol George sailed to the New World, on the ship
'Supply', departing on the 18th of
September, 1620. Early on he is mentioned in the records of the 'Virginia
Company' (page 426; act 187) "....To
one george Heale, a drummer, age 13 (thought to be 18 misread), by Mr.
Thorpe aspoyntmt". In the "Master of
Inhabitants", taken by James Cittie, June 24, 1624 was George Heale who
was then living in the home of Sir
Francis Waytt, & who came in the good ship 'Supply' 1620 also. (See also
'Hotten's Orginal List of Persons of
Quality'; E187.5-H7945 L.C.).
On Feb 21, 1651/2, George Heale had acquired & sold 300 acres of land to
Thomas Nallett. ('Colonial Records
of Virginia, Northumberland County, Vol. 11).
