BIBLE, KATHERINE HALE, age 104, born Sept. 1, 1899 in Cocke County,
passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004 at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System.
She was a member of Church of God in White Pine and was preceded in death
by her husband, Clifford John Bible; parents, James and Laura Hale; and
five brothers. She is survived by her nephews, Ed Hale of Morristown,
Harold Hale of Springfield, Ill. and Dennis Bible of Newport;
great-nephews, J.W. Hale of Morristown; and great-nieces, Christy Pound
and Jamie Hale of Springfield, Ill. Funeral services will be 8 p.m.
Monday, Jan. 5 in the chapel of Mayes Mortuary with the Rev. Mrs. James
Smith officiating. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6 at
Clay Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Cocke County. The family will
receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday, prior to the services at the mortuary.
